The code that resolves a scan never looks at your plan or your trial. There is no branch in it that could turn your sign off.
What normally happens when you stop paying
A dynamic QR code is a redirect. When the vendor holds the redirect, they hold every sign, flyer, menu, and product label you already printed. The usual outcomes:
- The code is deactivated and stops resolving at all.
- Scans land on the vendor’s upgrade page instead of your destination.
- Ads are injected into the page your customer reaches.
- Codes past a free-tier cap are paused while the rest keep working.
What we do instead
- Expired and cancelled accounts keep redirecting. You lose the ability to create and edit codes, never the ability to resolve the ones already in the world.
- No ads, no interstitial, no upgrade page in front of your destination. A scan goes where you pointed it.
- Point your own domain at your codes, so the printed link belongs to you and can outlive us.
The one exception, stated plainly: codes used for phishing, malware, or anything else our acceptable use policy prohibits get disabled.
Never breaks
Your codes keep redirecting after a trial ends or a subscription is cancelled. Bring your own domain and the link is yours, not ours, so you can move it anywhere later without reprinting.
